It serves as a protective layer that makes it harder for bio-film to form. The coating also helps to stabilize chlorine as the chlorine will not react with the metal pipe if the coating exists.
• Top-Notch Quality: The filter is made of patented scale prohibitor and is capable of filtering up to 80, 000 gallons of water, or lasting for 6 months (depending on inline water quality). The filter is tested by an independent third-party to meet NSF 42/60 standards.
• Easy Filter Replacement and Minimum Maintenance Required: For filter replacement, just twist off the housing and replace the filter. With 1” NPT inlet/outlet and 10” x 4. 5” filter cartridges, the system has a minimum impact on water flow (up to 15 GPM) and requires minimum maintenance.
